Artist Statement

2015

I make choices both intuitively and consciously in my art and in my life, choosing a sense of balance, aliveness and wholeness. I am inspired by the human spirit and motivated to paint that which can’t be physically measured but definitely sensed. Because I love to discover and learn, I experiment with materials and techniques. The thrills and surprises I encounter along the way keep me highly motivated. The creative process, to me, like life, can feel as fluid as a dance or as tough as a wrestling match. Either way, there is always learning and hope. I am very grateful when my work resonates with others.
